The article highlights the ongoing efforts of the Indonesian Ministry of Agriculture, led by Syahrul Yasin Limpo, to enhance the cultivation of porang, a potentially profitable agricultural commodity, in South Sulawesi. This initiative aims to boost national economic growth, improve export values, and increase farmers' welfare. The ministry is focusing on advanced agricultural models and creating a processing industry to support porang cultivation. South Sulawesi has been allocated a significant area for porang cultivation in 2020, and the results have shown a notable increase in exports and production values since 2019.
