The Minister of Agriculture and the Coordinating Minister for the Economy have announced large exports of floriculture and vegetable seeds from Indonesia to several countries, with one business transaction valued at over Rp 70 billion in a day. In the 2017-2021 period, Indonesia exported 1.4 million tons of horticultural products, valued at US $ 1.57 billion. The country has also developed floricultural villages in four provinces to boost economic growth in the sector. Despite challenges like quarantine and supply availability, the industry remains optimistic with support from financial institutions and the government.
