The Ministry of Agriculture in Indonesia is planning to develop 52,000 hectares of soybean cultivation across 16 regions, with a particular focus on the Grobogan variety in Central Java. This variety is non-GMO, has a high protein content, and is known for its high yield. The Grobogan Agriculture Service has found that soybean farming is more profitable than rice or corn per day, given the shorter planting time. The Ministry is seeking partnerships with off takers to ensure price certainty for farmers and to increase productivity.
