CNBC Indonesia hosted a national webinar, in collaboration with the Indonesian Vegetable Oil Industry Association (GIMNI), to discuss the initiatives of the government and the private sector towards food security through processed vegetable oils. During the webinar, the Director General of Domestic Trade of the Indonesian Ministry of Trade, Oke Nurwan, confirmed the implementation of the ban on bulk cooking oil circulation, effective from January 1, 2022. This decision aims to ensure the distribution of safe, healthy, halal, and hygienic food and provides investment security for the industry. The webinar featured a discussion between Oke Nurwan, Putu Juli Ardika from the Indonesian Ministry of Industry, and Sahat Sinaga from GIMNI, addressing the progress in implementing this regulation.
