The SPS Vietnam Office is working to remove barriers for Vietnamese agricultural and foodstuff exporters to register for the Chinese market. The office is collecting documents from coffee exporters and those exporting to China to discuss with the Chinese General Administration of Customs. Many coffee and cashew shipments have been interrupted due to a lack of a code located at Cat Lai port. As of January 25, 2022, the Chinese General Administration of Customs had issued 1,485 codes to Vietnamese enterprises. However, some coffee and cashew nut exporters who registered and completed procedures before November 1, 2021, have not had their lists approved and codes issued by the Chinese General Department of Customs.
