Erlangen - In a university canteen in Erlangen, an exotic dish has caused a stir: kangaroo chili. As reported by the "Münchner Merkur," the food was recently served in the canteen at Langemarckplatz with basmati rice.

"Even though a few guests on site asked for safety reasons if it was actually kangaroo meat, the dish was overall very well received," said the communications department of the Friedrich-Alexander University. "The planned approx. 400 portions were sold and we received a lot of positive feedback," the university is further quoted in the newspaper. A user on the social platform Reddit posted an extract of the menu under the heading "When the cafeteria has an experimental phase again." Users speculated about the taste underneath.
