The Emergency Situations Commission of Moldova will be implementing licensing for the import of wheat, sunflower, and corn in order to control and monitor grain imports, ensure product quality and safety, stabilize prices, and protect local producers. Only individuals and companies involved in the production of vegetable oils, flour milling, and animal feed manufacturing will be granted the right to import these agricultural products. Moldova planned to impose an embargo on Ukrainian agricultural products but faced threats of a complete trade embargo from Ukraine in response.
