Mongolia is setting a target to increase the area under fruit and berry cultivation to 20,000 hectares by 2030, with the aim of producing 30,000 tons of fruits and berries annually. The government plans to back private sector initiatives and promote public-private partnerships to reach this goal. The country will also focus on developing new crop varieties and improving cultivation technologies, as it currently meets only 3% of its own fruit and berry needs. The government will establish Fruit and Berry Growing Centers and provide preferential loans to enterprises as part of the National Movement 'Food Supply and Security'.
