More than 170,000 avocado seedlings will be delivered to producers in Junín

The Agrarian Rural Productive Development Program (Agro Rural) achieved, during 2025, a record production of 172,870 avocado seedlings in 10 institutional nurseries, which will be delivered to 884 producing families. These seedlings will be installed in the definitive field in five provinces of the Junín region. The executive director of Agro Rural, Gudberto Carrera Padilla, pointed out that this initial production of grafted avocado seedlings of high genetic value are mainly of the Hass (70%) and Fuerte (30%) varieties, and form part of the interventions carried out by the project "Improvement of the avocado value chain in the inter-Andean localities of five provinces of the Junín department." The official stated that the objective is for this large amount of seedlings to be installed on 361 hectares of land, directly benefiting producers from the central highlands and jungle of the districts of Pariahuanca, Santo Domingo de Acobamba, Monobamba, Andamarca, Vitoc, Perené, San ...
