Over 20,000 farmers in cocoa-growing regions will benefit from a $4 million climate finance project through a partnership between the World Bank and Solidaridad West Africa. This initiative, part of the Ghana Cocoa Forest REDD+ Program, aims to enhance social inclusion and reward climate actions that reduce carbon emissions. Funded by the EnABLE Trust Fund, the project will support climate-resilient livelihoods, green infrastructure, and climate-smart agriculture, focusing on women, youth, migrant farmers, and people with disabilities. It also includes legal literacy on land rights and aims to boost participation in the Emissions Reduction Program.
