Peruvian paprika exports have seen a growth of 6% in volume and a significant increase of 33% in value in 2023, due to higher prices and the product's long storage capabilities. However, demand normalization and decreased prices have negatively impacted Peruvian exports, with a 14% reduction in volumes and a 23% decrease in value in the United States in the first half of 2024. Mexico remains the primary destination for Peruvian paprika, followed by the United States and Europe. Despite challenges, a partial price recovery and volume growth are expected for the next semester.
