More than 7 kilograms of illegally harvested truffles were seized in the Veliko Tarnovo region

Last week, inspectors from the Regional Forestry Directorate (RFD) in Veliko Tarnovo drew up 14 records of administrative violations of the Forestry Law for illegal harvesting of non-timber forest products, specifically truffles, seizing a total of over 7 kilograms, the press center of the Executive Forestry Agency reported. The violations were identified during checks organized by the directorate, as well as through reports from forestry farm employees. In the territory of the State Forestry Farm (SFF) "Bolyarka", 9 records were drawn up, with 1.630 kilograms of truffles seized from 5 individuals who did not have the necessary permits. The other 5 records were drawn up in the territory of SFF "Plachkovtsi", with 6 kilograms of truffles seized. In this case as well, the violators were 5 individuals without the corresponding permits.
