The Ministry of Agriculture in Brazil announced that over 700 agricultural establishments have been approved for exports to 24 countries since January 2019. Four additional poultry and pork slaughterhouses have been accredited to export meat to Vietnam. In 2019, Brazil's agricultural exports to Vietnam amounted to US $27.5 billion, up from US $22.6 billion in 2018. Since January 2019, Brazil has opened 65 markets for agricultural products, including Thailand, which will import Brazilian beef and dairy products. The agricultural sector was the only one to show growth in the first quarter of 2020, increasing by 0.6% compared to the previous quarter.
