Andhra Pradesh is set to establish 9,899 milk co-operative societies, all women-led, as part of the Andhra Pradesh Amul project to boost milk production and marketing. The project also includes a health camp for cows and the establishment of the Sri Lakshmi Primary Agriculture Cooperative Society. The project aims to provide better direction to the dairy sector, with a focus on disease planning for buffaloes and cows, and ensures a profitable price for milk.
