Over the past three years, Morocco has seen a remarkable nine-fold increase in its exports of frozen raspberries to Poland, reaching 2.9 thousand tons by the end of 2023 and becoming the third largest supplier after Ukraine and Serbia. This growth has notably shifted market shares, particularly affecting Serbian suppliers who saw a 42% decrease, while Ukrainian exports more than doubled despite the overall European market deficit for frozen raspberries. With the demand for Ukrainian berries remaining high among Polish importers, the prices for frozen raspberries within the EU are anticipated to rise significantly for the 2024/25 season. This trend underscores a dynamic shift in the raspberry supply chain within the European market.
