According to information from the Mozambique Ministry of Agriculture, Environment, and Fisheries, the meeting of the Oil Crops Committee held in the capital Maputo on December 9 agreed on the export reference price for cashew nuts for the 2025–2026 crop season. Specifically, the export reference price for cashew nuts was adjusted upwards, with the lowest price set at 1,250 USD/ton, an increase of 19% from before; the higher price reached 1,440 USD/ton, an increase of 13.5%, in line with the international market trend. The meeting was chaired by the Director General of the Mozambique Institute of Standards, Mr. Ilídio Bande, with the participation of about 40 delegates, including representatives from cashew processing business associations, trade and industry, agricultural unions, and other important entities in the cashew value chain.
