(Muju=Yonhap News) Reporter Choi Young-soo = Muju County in Jeollabuk-do announced on the 5th that it has signed an agreement with the Muju Forest Association, the Namwon Forest Association, and UniedBeautyPlus to repurpose the forests in the Bunam-myeon area that were damaged by forest fires last spring.
The agreement was made to repurpose the 232.8 hectares of forests and pine trees that were damaged by the forest fire that occurred in Daesori, Bunam-myeon, Muju County in March.
These organizations have decided to engage in the repurposing of forest resources and fire-damaged trees, the production, supply, and recovery of forest fire-damaged products, and the creation of leading forest management zones.
To this end, logging will begin this month and afforestation will start from March next year.
