Myanmar Corn Association signed a memorandum of understanding with companies in China, Thailand and Vietnam to export 90% of corn by April 2024, aiming to earn more than 600 million US dollars in foreign exchange. China, Thailand and Vietnam are Myanmar's main export markets for corn, and this agreement will help stabilize the market and expand trade volume. Myanmar cultivates over 2 million acres of corn, with an annual output of 3.2 million tons, of which 2 million tons are exported to these countries after meeting domestic consumption of 1 million tons.
