Between April 1, 2023, and March 31, 2024, Myanmar's bean exports slightly declined, totaling over 1.6 million tons shipped by sea, valued at $1.34 billion, and around 157,000 tons via border trade, worth $140 million. This represents a decrease from the previous fiscal year's 1.9 million tons, valued at approximately $1.47 billion. The exports mainly comprised black beans, mung beans, and pigeon peas, with India being the primary market for black beans and pigeon peas, while China and Europe were the main destinations for mung beans.
