Naju City has partnered with a major Canadian retailer to expand the global export of local agricultural, livestock, and fishery products. On the 24th, Naju City (Mayor Yoon Byung-tae) announced on the 27th that it had signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Canadian A-Mart (Representative Choi Byung-hwa) at the Jeonnam Agricultural Technology Institute for the export of agricultural, livestock, and fishery products worth 5 million dollars. Representative Choi Byung-hwa, a native of Naju, established an Asian food specialty retailer in Calgary, Canada, in 2007, and currently operates three stores. This agreement was made during the "2025 International Agricultural Fair" and was attended by Mayor Yoon Byung-tae of Naju, Representative Choi Byung-hwa, and Representative Han Mun-cheol of Naju export company Golden Hill.
