Naju City, 'Onion Mechanization Formal Launch Ceremony' held

Naju City (Mayor Yoon Byung-tae) announced on the 17th that it has collaborated with the Yangpyeong Agricultural Cooperative to hold a "Formal Planting of Onions with Machinery" event, aiming to reduce the workload and increase the efficiency of onion farming households facing difficulties due to aging and rising labor costs through the dissemination of mechanization technology. The Naju City Agricultural Technology Center demonstrated the effectiveness and applicability of mechanized planting using a riding-type planter in the presence of local farmers in the area of Munpyeong-myeon on the 14th. This event was organized to replace labor-intensive onion planting tasks with machinery, thereby alleviating the burden on farmers, and to achieve timely planting and improved work quality simultaneously.
