Naju City (Mayor Yoon Byung-tae) held the "2026 Education for Farmers Employing Foreign Seasonal Workers" on the 13th at the Donggang Hall on the first floor of the Central Library at Dongshin University to address the issue of labor shortages in rural areas and to support stable farming activities. Rural areas are experiencing a deepening population decline and aging, and particularly, the difficulty in securing labor during sowing and harvesting seasons is becoming more pronounced. In response, Naju City has been actively promoting the foreign seasonal worker program. This system supports farmers in legally employing foreign workers for up to eight months during necessary periods, thereby backing stable farming activities and the sustainability of local agriculture.
