Thailand: Narumon discusses with Laos, pushing agricultural policies to increase exports, and aiming to attract investors

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Narumon Pinyosinwat, Minister of Agriculture and Cooperatives, along with Mr. Thaworn Tanjai, Inspector-General of the Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives, and the delegation met for bilateral discussions with Mr. Linkham Douangsavan, Minister of Agriculture and Forestry, Lao People's Democratic Republic (Lao PDR), and the delegation during the World Food Day celebration at the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) headquarters in Rome, Italy. Both ministers of agriculture agreed to focus on implementing agricultural policies and measures that benefit both parties, such as exporting Thai durian via a route from Lao PDR to China, which will help support investment, attract entrepreneurs and businessmen from Thailand or China to use land and conduct business in Lao PDR more.
