The inaugural National Milk Forum is being held in Brasília, bringing together dairy sector stakeholders to discuss the industry's direction. The event, organized by the Brazilian Association of Milk Producers, has seen participation from key ministers, agribusiness representatives, and financial support from Banco do Brasil. Highlighting the sector's significance, Marcos Montes noted that Brazil is the world's third-largest milk producer, employing approximately 4 million people. The forum also showcased local milk and artisanal cheeses, underscoring Brazil's position as the fifth-largest cheese producer with five geographical indications for its cheeses, including Canastra cheese, which has won numerous international accolades.
