Nestlé announces investments of R$ 7 billion in Brazil until 2028

Nestlé will invest 7 billion reais in Brazil between 2025 and 2028. The resources will be used for factory modernization, capacity expansion, sustainability, and innovation. In the previous three-year period, the investment was 6.5 billion reais. "These investments are an endorsement of the Brazilian operation, which is Nestlé's third-largest worldwide," says Marcelo Melchior, CEO of Nestlé Brazil. The country is only behind the USA and China. Last year, Nestlé Brazil's revenue was 4.040 billion Swiss francs, equivalent to around 27 billion reais. In 2023, it was 4.131 billion Swiss francs, around 24 billion reais. The increase was around 15%. According to Melchior, the investments allow Nestlé's factories to keep up with the technological level of other food manufacturer facilities worldwide.
