Malaysia gives the green light to the Peruvian Hass avocado

The Malaysian Department of Agriculture has officially communicated to the Agrarian Health Service of Peru (Senasa) the phytosanitary requirements and the list of production and packaging areas for the Peruvian Hass avocado. This will allow the immediate entry of this product into that country, after more than 10 years of negotiations. Thanks to the coordinated work of the Foreign Ministry, the Ministry of Agriculture (through Senasa) and the private sector, it allows Peruvian Hass avocado producers to make their first shipments to the Malaysian market. Through meetings at the highest level, the technical information requested by the Malaysian government was transmitted to expedite the authorization of access to this fruit, which will already be present on the tables of consumers in that country.
