The Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food (MAPA), through the General Directorate of Health of Agri-Food Production and Animal Welfare, has detected the circulation of serotype 8 of bluetongue in Salamanca, Almería, and Alicante and serotype 3 in Teruel. Since April 1, when the season began, regional animal health laboratories and the Central Veterinary Laboratory (LCV) have confirmed the presence of the disease in the provinces and Autonomous Communities of Andalusia, Extremadura, Toledo, Ciudad Real, Guadalajara, Murcia, Madrid, Burgos, Ávila, Segovia, León, and Soria.
