The cow's milk sector in Spain is experiencing a surge in prices, a decline in production, and a decrease in the number of farms. The weighted average price of cow's milk increased by 12.3% compared to September and 57.5% compared to October 2021, with nine autonomous communities experiencing average prices above the national average. Production fell by 4% compared to the same month last year, and the number of farmers who declared deliveries decreased by 824 compared to October 2021. Similar trends were observed in sheep and goat milk, with price increases, production decreases, and a decrease in the number of producers.
