Starting July 1st, a new regulation for vegetable imports will require a new entry on the phytosanitary certificate for certain types of vegetables. From September 1st, 2023, green asparagus will have additional certification and inspection requirements, while traceability information will no longer be necessary on the certificate. There are also specific import requirements for peppers, chillies, bitter melon, Christmas eggplant, African eggplant, and regular eggplant, as well as for plants and plant parts like leaves, stems, and maize cobs, with exceptions for tissue culture, live pollen, and seeds.
