New veterinary rules for rabbit breeding, rearing, and sale have been approved by the Russian Ministry of Agriculture, coming into force on September 1, 2024 until September 1, 2030. These rules aim to prevent dangerous diseases such as viral hemorrhagic disease and myxomatosis through compliance with proper housing and balanced nutrition. The Department of Agro-Industrial Complex of the Kostroma Region is reminding rabbit farmers of these important regulations, which include separate housing for rabbits, a minimum distance from poultry houses, and isolation of rabbits by age groups.
