T&G Global has initiated the export of its first batch of Envy apples from New Zealand to China, setting the stage for a record-breaking harvest in 2024 with plans to export 2.9 million boxes to 60 countries. The Envy apple variety has experienced substantial growth in international markets, notably in China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Thailand, the United States, and Vietnam. To ensure a consistent year-round supply, T&G Global has adopted a dual hemispheric sourcing strategy, with over 12,400 hectares of Envy apple orchards planted globally. The North American crop has seen remarkable success, with Envy apples now available in approximately 70% of US supermarkets, including major retailers such as Walmart, Costco, Safeway, Kroger, and Sam's Club.
