Ukraine's corn starch exports in August saw a decrease of 42% from July and 8% from the previous year, totaling 3.7 thousand tons. The season's overall exports stood at 77.9 thousand tons, marking a 14% decrease from the previous year. The main buyer, Indonesia, reduced its purchases by 34%. However, there was an increase in procurement from the EU, China, and Thailand, with Nigeria becoming a notable new importer. Since the start of the 2021/22 marketing year (July 1), Ukraine has exported 15.565 million tons of cereals and legumes, showing an increase of 2.336 million tons from the same period last year.
