Nitro Brazil Launches New Biocide, Dual Microbes Combating Multiple Foliar Diseases

The product is a suspension concentrate (SC) containing two highly efficient Bacillus strains: Bacillus amyloliquefaciens CCT8135 (475 g/L) + Bacillus velezensis CCT8136 (475 g/L). According to Nitro, this microbial fungicide acts by forming a physical barrier, directly preventing and inducing plant resistance. Nitro reports that trials conducted during the 2023/24 planting season targeting hard-to-control foliar diseases prove Égide Max's effectiveness against soybean rust, Diaporthe phaseolorum, and brown spot. The product's development fully considered the different climate and soil conditions of Brazil's main production regions. The product is currently in the registration phase for other pathogens, including Cercospora, Colletotrichum, coffee rust, Phomopsis, Cylindrocladium, and soybean pod blight.
