Non-traditional wholesale buyers have paid attention to the Moldavian walnut

According to the Union of Associations of Walnut Producers of Moldova, this week the members of the organization began to receive proposals for the purchase of walnut kernels. This has occasionally happened before, but Moldovan export traders usually did not respond to such requests, since the main market for Moldovan walnuts has been the European Union for the last five to seven years. However, given the weak demand for walnuts in major European importing countries, some Moldovan traders are leaning towards the decision to sell small quantities of walnut kernels to Russian ones, i.e. non-traditional buyers. Demand prices for Moldavian nuts (kernel) from Russian wholesale buyers are 2.5-2.8 euros/kg.
