Norway-UK Seafood Summit 2024 revitalizes seafood sector

The event was attended by the Norwegian Minister of Fisheries and Ocean Policy, Cecilia Myrseth, and the British Minister of Food, Agriculture and Fisheries, Mara Spencer. They spoke about how the two countries are working together in joint efforts to further strengthen and develop trade and relationships in the seafood sector. The summit, organized by the Norwegian Seafood Council, attracted the attention of key stakeholders from the seafood sector and related industries, from fishing fleet exporters and distributors to retailers, catering, analysts and the media. Both countries have a long-standing seafood partnership and close ties throughout the industry. The main species exported from Norway to the UK include salmon, cod, haddock, cold-water prawns and halibut.
