Norway's wine imports 2023

The review of 2023 data on wine imports and exports begins today with the data from Norway, which have been uploaded to the excellent UNCOMTRADE website, which I remind you has switched to a "plus" mode at this address, although in my opinion it the same things as before (it would have been better to have more complete data...). So today we are talking about Norway, a market that saw a significant deterioration of the currency in 2023 (from 10 crowns to 11.4 crowns per 1 euro on average) and which therefore must be evaluated carefully: wine imports were down by 2% in volume (916 thousand hectolitres) and stable in value at 484 million euros, but the latter figure does not do justice to what happened "internally". In fact, 484 million euros are 5.5 billion crowns, while the 482 million of the year 2022 "cost" in euros only 4.9 billion euros.
