In November 2022, Moldova experienced its lowest apple exports in five years, with only about 7 thousand tons sent out, primarily to CIS countries. However, farmers believe that alternative markets, including the Persian Gulf and Romania, are showing promise with nearly a thousand tons and 600 tons of apples exported respectively. Despite this, traders do not anticipate a significant increase in apple exports in December, as consumers tend to shift to citrus and exotic fruits for the holiday season.
