November export of Moldovan apple, the minimum figure in five years

According to the customs service of Moldova, in November 2022, about 7 thousand tons of apples were exported from the country. This is the lowest figure for November exports over the past five years, only in 2020 it was close to the current one - almost 8 thousand tons (but then curbing supplies was a tactic, in the hope of active winter supplies to the Russian market at a higher price). In the same month of 2021, exports were a record - 22.5 thousand tons. The main direction of supplies of Moldovan apples in November of this year is the CIS countries. However, representatives of farmers' organizations believe that the situation in alternative markets is also not bad: shipments of almost a thousand tons of apples to the markets of the Persian Gulf countries, and, most importantly, more than 600 tons to Romania.
