Okcheon countryside village happiness taxi, service expands from 36 to 47 villages

Okcheon County is expanding the villages served by the "Happy Taxi for Rural Villages" from this month. The number of villages will increase from 36 to 47. The "Happy Taxi for Rural Villages" operates in villages where agricultural and fishing village buses do not run or are far from bus stops. It aims to resolve the inconvenience of rural residents who have difficulty with transportation. Village residents can contact and reserve the dedicated taxi attached to the village hall to travel to the town hall, hospitals, markets, etc., and use the taxi at bus fare levels (850 won for children, 1,700 won for adults). Previously, only areas with a distance of over 700 meters from the bus stop to the village hall were eligible, but now villages with a distance of over 500 meters are also eligible.
