Okcheon County is expanding the "Happy Taxi for Rural Villages" service this month, increasing the number of participating villages from 36 to 47. The "Happy Taxi for Rural Villages" service operates in villages where agricultural and fishing village buses do not run or are far from the bus stops. It aims to alleviate the inconvenience of rural residents with poor transportation. Villagers can contact and reserve the dedicated taxis attached to the village halls for travel to the township offices, hospitals, markets, etc., and use the taxis at bus fare levels (850 won for children, 1,700 won for adults). Previously, only areas with a distance of over 700 meters from the bus stop to the village hall were eligible.
