The first estimates for the production of olive oil for the 2025/2026 campaign point to values similar to those of the one that just ended on September 30. The estimate published by the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food records a production close to 1,372,000 tons, which represents a slight decrease of 3% compared to the previous harvest, but 19% above the average of the last six campaigns, which were affected by drought, especially those of 2023/2024 and 2022/2023. According to the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, Luis Planas, "according to this forecast, the data are at our average production levels for the second consecutive year and should allow a smooth supply of the national market and our exports to third countries."
