"Olivier" will cost a pretty penny: how much does one of the most beloved New Year's salads of Ukrainians cost?

The Olivier salad, popular among Ukrainians, has increased in price over the year. This year, it will cost 19% more than last year. Analyst of the Ukrainian Agrarian Business Club (UKAB) association Maksym Hopka told UNIAN that a portion of Olivier salad will cost 300 hryvnias compared to 252 hryvnias in 2023. According to him, now 350 grams of boiled sausage costs an average of 152 hryvnias, while last year its cost was 118 hryvnias. Thus, the sausage has become more expensive by about 29%. On average, four eggs cost 24 hryvnias that year, and now the cost is 32 hryvnias, that is, the price increase was 33%. Canned green peas cost about 40 hryvnias, while last year they had to pay 52 hryvnias for them. Thus, their price decreased by 23%. On average, 200 grams of mayonnaise now costs 25 hryvnias, while in 2023 the sauce cost about 20 hryvnias, which means that its cost has increased by 25% over the year.
