According to monitoring by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, the "200 Agricultural Products Wholesale Price Index" on December 31 was 129.09, down 0.05 points from yesterday, and the wholesale price index for "grocery basket" products was 131.80, down 0.06 points from yesterday. As of 14:00 today, the average wholesale price of pork in national agricultural products wholesale markets was 17.59 yuan/kg, down 0.8% from yesterday; beef was 65.87 yuan/kg, down 0.2% from yesterday; mutton was 62.84 yuan/kg, down 0.6% from yesterday; eggs were 7.42 yuan/kg, up 0.1% from yesterday; and white striped chicken was 17.79 yuan/kg, down 0.1% from yesterday. The average price of 28 key monitored vegetables was 5.63 yuan/kg, unchanged from yesterday; the average price of 6 key monitored fruits was 7.92 yuan/kg, up 1.8% from yesterday. Grass carp was 19.17 yuan/kg, down 1.2% from yesterday; carp was 13.91 yuan/kg, down 1.2% from yesterday; white sturgeon was 10.54 yuan/kg, down 0.6% from yesterday; and large ribbon fish was 41.22 yuan/kg, up 3.3% from yesterday. Today, among the 46 varieties of fresh agricultural products in the domestic wholesale market that were monitored, the top five with price increases compared to yesterday were Kyoho grapes, large ribbon fish, bananas, lotus root, and green peppers, with increases of 3.8%, 3.3%, 2.5%, 2.4%, and 2.3% respectively; the top five with price decreases were napa cabbage, cauliflower, spinach, ginger, and carp, with decreases of 2.4%, 1.8%, 1.6%, 1.3%, and 1.2% respectively.
