Andalusian farmers are encouraged to insure their winter crops by November 30, following a year of increased claims due to adverse weather conditions. These conditions, including frosts, hail, and drought, have resulted in 75,900 claims worth 53.3 million euros, twice the amount from the previous year. The majority of the claims were for citrus fruits, olives, horticultural products, and herbaceous crops, with the province of Córdoba experiencing the most damage. The Spanish Combined Agricultural Insurance system is emphasized as a necessary protection against such losses.
