Data for the first half of 2025 show an increase in the export of fresh vegetables by 13.4% year-on-year, to 19.8 thousand tons, and at the same time a decrease in that of fresh fruits by 3.5%, to 36 thousand tons, experts from the Ministry of Agriculture and Food (MAF) noted in an operational analysis. The largest contribution to the increase in the total export of fresh vegetables comes from the expanded sales of sweet peppers (twice as much). There are also more cucumbers and gherkins (with a growth of 27.7%), cabbage (an increase of 29.3%), and courgettes (by 37.5%) intended for foreign markets.
