Turkey: Ondokuz Mayıs University (OMU), working to develop disease and pest resistant varieties of chesnuts

Ondokuz Mayıs University (OMU) Ali Nihat Gökyiğit Research Center has been working to develop disease and pest resistant varieties for the "Nebiyan chestnut" grown in the Nebiyan basin of the 19 Mayıs district of Samsun for 12 years.
