The Union of Chambers of Agriculture of Turkey (TZOB) chairman, Şemsi Bayraktar, highlighted the significant price differences between producers and the market in September. He noted that dry onions saw the highest price difference at 253.23%, and called on the Turkish Grain Board (TMO) to intervene. Bayraktar also pointed out that green peppers experienced the highest price increase at 58.97%, while lemons saw the biggest price decrease at 27.33%. He stressed the need for the Soil Products Office to intervene to ensure price stability, attributing marketing issues and increased yield to the decrease in onion prices. Bayraktar also highlighted the challenges producers are facing due to the impact of rising fertilizer prices.
