Onion on a global scale, a sector under pressure

Worldwide, onion cultivation is essential as it spans more than 175 countries, generating income for millions of producers. However, this year has brought its share of challenges for players in this crucial sector. In Spain, and more precisely in the town of Albacete, in the heart of the autonomous community of Castile-La Mancha, November 7 and 8 marked the start of the third edition of the International Onion Meeting, also known as the name International Onion Meeting (IOM).
