Beekeepers are not taking advantage of the provided funding under the "Promotion, Communication, and Marketing" intervention for bee products. This is evident from the response of the Minister of Agriculture Georgi Takhov to a question posed by MP Lyuben Ivanov. From the response, it is clear that during the acceptance process for the intervention for 2025, only one project was submitted and financed. Regulation No. 8 on interventions in the beekeeping sector states that associations registered under the Law on Non-Profit Legal Entities for Public Benefit, in which members are beekeepers with hives registered by the BABH; groups and organizations of honey and bee product producers recognized by order of the Minister of Agriculture and Food, and their associations; and associations registered under the Law on Non-Profit Legal Entities for Public Benefit, which unite producers and processors of bee products, have the right to apply for the intervention.
