The Brazilian government announced a new trade agreement with Egypt, allowing Brazil to export beef, buffalo meat, and offal to the African country. This development strengthens the trade relationship between the two countries, with Egypt being the ninth largest destination for Brazilian agricultural exports in 2024. In the first ten months of this year, Egypt imported over US$ 2.59 billion in agricultural products from Brazil. This agreement is a result of the collaborative efforts of the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock (Mapa) and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MRE), and marks one of 208 market openings for Brazil in 2024, totaling 286 new business opportunities in 62 destinations since 2023.
