The Brazilian government has announced a new trade agreement with Egypt, allowing Brazil to export beef, buffalo meat, and offal to the African country. This development strengthens the existing trade relationship and makes Egypt the ninth largest destination for Brazilian agricultural exports in 2024. In the first ten months of this year, Egypt imported over US$ 2.59 billion in agricultural products from Brazil. This achievement is part of a larger strategy by the Brazilian Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock (Mapa) and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MRE), resulting in 208 market openings and 286 new business opportunities in 62 destinations since 2023.
