Opening of the Harvest repositions the rice debate by connecting production and market

The 36th Official Opening of the Rice and Lowland Grains Harvest will be held from February 24 to 26 at the Embrapa Temperate Climate Lowland Experimental Station in Capão do Leão (RS), and it arrives at this edition with a clear proposal: to broaden the strategic debate of Brazilian rice cultivation through the direct connection between production, market, and management. Promoted by the Federation of Rice Growers Associations of Rio Grande do Sul (Federarroz), the event is expected to receive around 21,000 visitors, with representatives from 17 countries and 18 Brazilian states. The structure will occupy an area of approximately 30 hectares, bringing together 230 exhibitors and more than 50 technological showcases aimed not only at rice but also at production systems that include soybeans, corn, and pastures.
